La Argentina se ha convertido en uno de los principales exportadores de soja a nivel mundial, autorizó la exportación de 2,242 millones de toneladas de granos y derivados de soja en lo que va del 2010, de acuerdo con el último informe oficial al 5 de febrero. Según AgriPac, "si hubiera que arriesgar un precio para mayo 2010, habría que hablar de no más de 340 dólares por tonelada" En argentina todo el pueblo salió a defender a los sojeros pero ¿Quiénes son los que se benefician a parte de los grandes terrateniente ya que el sistema impuesto contempla una agricultura prácticamente sin agricultores? Las empresas que venden la soja transgénica, Singenta; Bayer y Basf; Agrobiotech; Downchemical; Limagrain; la AstraZeneca; Monsanto; Dupont, Norvatis y Adventis; estas empresas monopólicas poseen normativas y contratos que encierran a los agricultores en un círculo dependiente con ellas. Al requerir menos manos de obra el cultivo de soja y desplazar otros cultivos, muchos agricultores y empleados agrícolas son expulsados del campo y van a parar a las villa miserias de las ciudades. Cuándo se defendía el campo ¿Qué se defendía? ¿Hasta qué punto entonces podemos decir que este cultivo es tan beneficioso para el país? A parte de generar un gran impacto negativo en el ambiente disminuyendo la biodiversidad que caracteriza a cada ecosistema, contaminando las napas freáticas, acabando con los insectos polinizadores y matando a los microorganismos del suelo por la aplicación continua de herbicidas. Luego de años de ganancias viene la desertización, las futuras generaciones se quedarán sin su porción y los argentinos cantando borom bom bom llorando a Gardel en un rincón.
